Wimbledon Park Golf Club
Junior Membership is available to all children. Depending greatly on both the age and experience of the child we follow a rigid process to ensure each prospective member is clear as to the ideals of being a golf club member and has the ability to play the course to the required standard.
For most children we have an initial introduction through our popular day courses, generally these run 1-2 days per week in the school holidays and are aimed at the 6-13 age bracket.
Once we feel that a child is ready to join we would look to include them in our junior academy or move directly into the junior membership. We believe that the children are only ready to join once they are capable of playing the course unsupervised by an adult and we therefore concentrate heavily on their understanding of the rules and etiquette required to play.
If we are content that the understanding is there then we will be happy for them to join, we have many competitions available to the children each year and are involved in various local Junior leagues competing against other local clubs.
Dress CodeSensible clothing should be worn, trousers or shorts are fine but preferably no denim should be worn. Trainers are permitted for juniors under 12 years of age.
